When my niece, Raquel, got engaged, of course she called on her {favorite} uncle to capture her session…and of course I was more than happy to oblige.  She is engaged to pro-surfer, Travis Payne.  They were both born and raised in the small beach community of Pacifica, just South West of San Francisco. Jealous, right?

Good Music. Better Coffee.

They both have California in their blood and maintain a California, beach loving lifestyle. Which I adored capturing throughout this session. With this lifestyle comes their love of good coffee, which they sipped on, and reggae music, which we played during the in-home portion of their session to help them relax and feel at ease.

We captured an outdoor, beach setting segment of their session throughout an incredibly secret spot, Point Reyes. This spot was a perfect setting for my niece and her fiancé. As you can see, they were completely at home nestled among the sandy beach as they were curled up on their couch at home. This spot features a beautiful combination of history and wildlife.  There are shipwrecks, cows, hawks and plenty of elk roaming around. The locals are friendly and the area offers inviting eateries and dramatic landscapes perfect for a photographer with an adventurous eye.

An Impressive Addition to the Family

Take a moment to check out Travis Payne at one of his most recent competitions, Titans of Mavericks, where he took the competition by storm conquering some of the world’s most powerful waves.  He took home 2nd place.  This guy has tons of talent.  I am thrilled for Travis and Raquel’s engagement and cannot wait for their wedding and the beautiful future they are in store for together.

As you can probably tell, I am so excited to welcome Travis into the family. Both as his Pt. Reyes Engagement Photographer, and future uncle-in-law.
